Well I have been silent for long enough.  I am into selvedges now.  I have a couple of my fellow quilters keeping selvedges from their projects for me.  This is a wee peek at my stash.

I sew them onto a backing

The I just put the finished square into an embroidery hoop.

This is my second attempt at a yoga mat bag.  On this one I wanted to try and put piping on the ends.

This is one of the finished ends with the piping.  Not a bad effort.

Again I put a zipped pocket on the outside (quite hard to see in this photo). Also one on the inside.
Quite funky material.  Ah well onto the next project.

Yoga Bags

As I do yoga I decided to make myself a bag for my yoga mat.  This is my first one and made it out of upholstery remanent. It has a pocket on the outside and another one inside.  It's a bit long but it makes it easier to get the mat in and out.

Boy Quilt

After months of posting nothing here I go.

I've made a quilt for a fellow yogi (person who practices yoga) who has just had her baby. This is an unfinished photo.  It is finished and given now.

Colour n Carry Floder

I am having trouble with my profile so not much action on this blogger site lately.
However, I made some Colour n Carry folders.  This is from the pattern by JoyPatch.

This is a girls one that I made from scraps.  Unfortunately I haven't a photo of it unfolded. :(  I will endeavour to take progress photos of the next one I make.

Dog Coats

My friend has two gorgeous French Bulldogs and I made them a dog coat each .  One is a female and the other a male, brother and sister.  They were made out of scraps of canvas and flannel. I put velcro on for easy fitting around the neck and tummy.  Unfortunately they didn't fit bu they have gone to another good home.  I have made more for other dogs but to order.  Lesson learned!!!
I go through stages of making a few of one item so any extras of dog coats I gave to the local SPCA Op shop for them to sell.  They are grateful and I must make some more as winter is upon us.

Introducing The Blue House Next Door

Well here I am with my bestie starting this blog.  We both love quilting and sharing our experiences, hence this blog.  The blue house next door is my partner's house where he used to live.  I have always loved this wee cottage and one day thought of it as my studio.  It has inspired me to create weird and wonderful things.

This is my very first quilt I made at a night quilting class.
